The Beatles Present "The Lord of the Rings: The Musical"

By Sam French & Kyle Wilson
Musical adaptation by Eric Dietz

It’s the late 1960s, The Beatles are on the verge of breakup, and the band’s last ditch effort to stay together by filming a live action movie musical adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” under the direction of Stanley Kubrick has fallen by the wayside. Luckily, Paul rouses the Fab Four into doing the movie themselves, and over the course of an hour he, John, George, and Ringo perform the entire “Rings” saga with all the hobbits, wizards, chases, and fights – all against the plottings of the nefarious Yoko Ono, who wants nothing more than to break up the band and take John for her own.
